Our Passion

Situation:The popularity of gastric bypass surgery led to secondary surgery to remove the pounds of excess skin. Plastic surgeons use incredible amounts of suture after removing that skin, but those surgeons were never addressed in any meaningful way. And frankly, they weren’t interested in the education Ethicon traditionally uses to influence practice changes.

Key Insight: Ethicon could develop an entirely new mind-set and market by creating and facilitating a peer-to-peer network.
